Project | Villa Carpi
with Ivana Angelova and Stefanija Todorovska
COMPETITION “IPERSPAZIO EMILIA 1961” December 2019

This project is a renovation project on a spacious detached villa in Carpi, Modena. The villa, which was built in 1961 by Tuscan architect Chiasserini, boasts unique features such as a spiral staircase and cut-away roof terraces. These architectural elements were particularly important to the owner, who wanted to preserve and highlight their value. The villa measures over 500 square meters in size and required careful planning to ensure that the renovation maintained the integrity of the original design.

Competition proposal for the main square in Ohrid

After careful consideration, we determined that the main issue with the main square in Ohrid is the lack of a central gathering space. Currently, the area is used solely as a parking lot. Our solution to this problem is to transform the square into a floating platform that reflects the nearby lake. We believe that this design will create a unique and memorable experience for visitors, as standing on the surface of the lake will be just as breathtaking as looking at it. Overall, our goal is to create a central gathering space that will become a new landmark for the city of Ohrid.
